A revitalised model range for the Chrysler Jeep and Dodge brands in New Zealand has boosted sales to record levels with a record month and best ever quarter result, according to official MIA figures released for December. The sales performance was attributed to the outstanding sale of Dodge Journey and the award-winning all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee released to NZ market earlier in the year.

The company has announced a US$300million investment plan to build the advanced new transmission at a plant in Kokomo, Indiana, with the first products due in 2013. Though the deal signed with ZF of Germany includes the ability to import fully built transmissions to fit to Chrysler Group vehicles before that date.

Among the first outward signs was the opening of a new outlet in Hawkes Bay (Jeff Gray European) which began the Sales, Servicing and offering of Parts for the Chrysler Brands on July 1st.

Chrysler is looking to build even further with additional outlets in the New Zealand market.
